7/24 Wednesday cooking class
We reviewed the basic knife skill first, and practiced "match stick" with carrot. (also known as "Julienne".
And made
1 Arame seaweed and bean salad with sour ume plum dressing
2 Miso-basil pesto
3 Zucchini pasta (with the pesto)
4 Refreshing summer rhubarb drink
Also we talked about how we can cope with the heat more easily using "Yin and Yang" principle while cooking.

7/20 Cooking Class
Beat the heat with Yin and Yang.
the temperature over 90, and no air conditioning, we made simple summer dishes to make peace with the summer heat.
to replenish the lost minerals through sweat, arame seaweed salad with sour ume plum dressing is a great "one pot meal".
simple miso pesto, using the least expensive seeds, (1/10 the price of pine nuts!).
zucchini rice cake.
and refreshing rhubarb summer drink.
and we talked a little bit about how we can apply yin and yang to cope with the heat.
