arugula and calamari salad
my "farm-to-table" dinner
saturday mornings, i go to union square farmer's market, and get freshest food for the week.
now the market is abundant with summer produce.
so i made summer pasta using green pea, heirloom tomato, cilantro (made vegan pesto), and little neck clam (also from the market).
with whole wheat linguine, this pasta turned out just fabulous : )
Simple is best
monday dinner is always simple, yet nutritious, balanced and tasty.
also important is presentation.
and for my birthday, some friends gave me these beautiful bowls by a japanese artist living in NYC!
inside is aduki bean and kabocha squash.
very sweet and good for your pancreas : )
the other is a simply steamed broccoli and cauliflower. (yes, now a broccoli season!)
dressing, tahini-miso.
