Hearty winter seitan stew

Baked brown rice with mushroom in parchment paper


Couscous cake



cook couscous with apple juice.
cook dried fruits in half apple juice and half water, with pinch of sea salt
add diluted kuzu and kanten powder until thicken, let it cool a bit
pour it over couscous in baking dish or casserole dish.
sprinkle roasted pumpkin seed.
let it cool.

Boiled carrot tops and sweet miso/brown rice vinegar dressing

Aji-Gohan




brown rice, mixed with sauted root veggies and hijiki.
seasoned with soy sauce, and sprinkle with toasted nori.

simple saturday lunch.

Cauliflower soup



no cream, just cauliflower.
stock is kombu seaweed, seasoned with sweet miso.
wow!

Buckwheat soup



Buckwheat has been staple in Russia, Eastern Europe.
This winter grain(strong yang) keeps you warm from inside, so it's perfect for cold winter days!
Soak a few hours, then easy to cook.
boil in dashi stock, add some veggies, season with soy sauce or miso.
tasty and hearty : )
